Auto-sleep function does not work and according to people I called whilst using the case it made me sound "like i had my head in a bucket" almost impossible to understand

Decent case, but auto-sleep doesn't work

Do some research on auto-sleep functionality for iPhones, and you will find that this is impossible. iPad covers can only automatically lock iPads via certain magnets that iPhones (at least up to the 5 line--I'm not sure about the 6) do NOT have.
Despite knowing this already, I decided to purchase this case anyway; it was so cheap that I figured it would be worth a shot. It's still somewhat useful to have, since the power/lock button on my iPhone no longer works most of the time. Now I can close the case on my phone's active screen and not risk accidentally tapping on things whenever I put my phone back into my pocket.
However, two corners of the case were slightly damaged when I opened the box. And it really is false advertising to claim that it offers an auto-sleep function.
If you really want to enable auto-sleep on an iPhone when placing a cover over the screen, you can do this by jail-breaking your phone and installing a "hack" app. It seems to drain battery life more quickly, though.
