The RunCore is widely known in the Dell Mini and Hackingtosh circles as being extremely fast if not the fastest SSD available. I bought mine to Hackingtosh my Dell mini 9 and the extra speed is noticeable. The ability to connect the SSD to a Mac(or windows) machine via USB and do a direct clone of the OS is a real boon. It makes upgrading so simple.

Does what is says on the tin

Great product - very easy to install. The only tricky part, for me, was making enough room on my (already very full) 8Gb SSD so that I could install the Acronis software which, by the way, is provided on the new SSD (so I needn't of spent time looking elsewhere for a download!). I now have a spare 8Gb SSD which I guess is no use to anyone.

dont use a magnetic screwdriver for installation

dont use the screwdriver that came with the hard drive (mine was magnetic) lost all my data after cloning and installing. other wise happy with how things have loaded up faster. flash games still run fairly slow on dell mini 9 but that is expected.

I read an article in Micromart about this product giving a 4-6 times speed upgrade with some scepticism upgrading a Dell mini9.

It was exactly right much to my surprise. The cloning worked perfectly and the speed at which the system booted up was tranformed (XP Home).
The service from MemoryC was excellent and the product description made sure I ordered the correct device.

Anyone want a slow 8gb ssd?

This is a seriously good product, and transforms the Dell Mini-9 into a properly usable bit of kit.

It's stated that the drive provides a 4-6x performance improvement on the factory-fitted unit, and after using it for the last couple of weeks, I would say that's about right.

The drive has a USB connector, so it should be a doddle to migrate from your existing SSD - however, I took the opportunity to do a full, clean (and problem-free!) install of Windows 7; now, from power-on to sign-in screen takes less than 15 seconds!

It's not cheap by any means, but I'd say that this has to be an essential upgrade for any Dell Mini-9 owners.

This is a great upgrade for my dell mini 9 laptop. since the IV pro could not be used because of it's T shape i choose this one instead (i have a WLAN card and a data connect card so there is no room for the other version of this card).

The performance is a boost comparing to the original one from dell.

I would recommend this drive to all dell mini users.

Installation was easy due to the usb connector and cable. You can easily clone the old drive to the new one. Change the drives with the supplied screwdriver and that was it.

It's a must have upgrade.

Though correctly cited as an upgrade for the Dell Mini 9, the 50mm sized SSD card will also fit into the primary SSD slot of an eeePC901 with some "open heart" surgery.

The nicely integrated mini USB connector makes cloning your current SSD installation very easy, and comes with the Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0 application.

An excellent product for the braver eeePC901 user who wishes to preserve the larger 70mm SSD for additional expansion. Numerous websites have upgrade procedures if your brave.

I can't rate this product highly enough, it will give your eeePC901 a new life !
